Collaboration in an Uncertain Healthcare Market – A Trexin Transformation Event

Chicago, IL

Transformation Event

On May 18th, Trexin gathered with several Chicago-based healthcare business and IT leaders at Sepia’s private dining space for a dynamic discussion around the future of healthcare. “Collaboration in an Uncertain Healthcare Market” is one installment of Trexin’s Healthcare Transformation Series, which, to date has been the most successful topic respective to generating thought-provoking questions and perspectives from our guests.

The evening began with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and networking, followed by an open panel discussion and dinner. While several of the early comments and questions were directly related to ACA and the implications of partial repeal efforts, the conversation shifted to longer running issues across various pillars of the healthcare community. Disparities in actual profit vs. perceived profit within each sector of healthcare, extremely long ROI in population health management, and initiatives which can benefit from increased shared responsibility between each pillar of healthcare (provider/payer/pharmaceutical/medical device manufacturers) were among the most spirited conversations. The most refreshing aspect of the evening was hearing from guests and panelists on how these long-running challenges might be best addressed, if given proper focus from all parties involved.

The panel was led by four industry experts, consisting of:
Russell Moss – Divisional Technology Officer, Emerging Markets, HCSC
Laura Zaremba – Senior Principal, Healthcare, Trexin Consulting
Jimmy Lee – Managing Principal, Trexin Consulting
Harish Sukumar – Life Sciences Practice CTO, Trexin Consulting
