Trexin Announces IDR SaaS Platform for No Surprises Act Compliance and Launches Secure, Offline AI Intake Module to Accelerate Case Creation
January 15, 2026 – Trexin Consulting today announced the continued expansion of its Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) software platform, purpose-built to help organizations manage No Surprises Act (NSA) dispute volume with greater speed, structure, and auditability. Trexin also announced the release of a new AI Intake module that automates the conversion of inbound IDR correspondence into structured case records, accelerating intake and triage while maintaining strong protections for Protected Health Information (PHI).
A Case Management Platform for IDR Operations
IDR teams face a consistent set of operational challenges regardless of role: high-volume intake, incomplete or inconsistent data, strict timelines, complex eligibility rules, and the need to maintain clear documentation for defensible decisions. Trexin’s IDR platform helps organizations centralize and standardize dispute operations across intake, triage, eligibility screening, submissions, and reporting.
Core capabilities include:
- End-to-end case tracking across intake, triage, screening, submissions, outcomes, and reporting
- Rule-based, semi-automated eligibility screening using 11 criteria to flag likely non-eligible disputes early and route them for kick-out, reducing downstream effort and cost
- Structured data capture and validation to reduce missing information and improve consistency across cases
- Workflow controls and tasking to improve timeliness, handoffs, and operational accountability
- Visibility and analytics to identify bottlenecks, recurring exceptions, and drivers of avoidable rework
- Human-in-the-loop operating model to preserve judgment and governance while reducing manual overhead
Organizations using the platform have reduced manual effort and avoided unnecessary costs by improving intake completeness, minimizing rework, and screening likely ineligible disputes earlier in the process.
New AI Intake Module: Faster Case Creation from Real-World IDR Inputs
Trexin’s newly released AI Intake module automates one of the most data-entry-heavy steps in IDR operations: transforming inbound correspondence into a complete, structured case record. The module reads incoming emails to an IDR inbox, extracts relevant case details, and creates a trackable case record to accelerate triage and workflow execution.
Because incoming IDR information varies significantly in format and location, the module leverages a Large Language Model (LLM) to interpret real-world variability, including:
- Data in the email body versus attachments
- Values presented in different formats (free text, tables, PDFs, spreadsheets, scanned documents)
- Inconsistent terminology or partial fields requiring contextual interpretation
The AI Intake module is designed to support a human-led process. It accelerates data extraction and case creation while preserving manual review, exception handling, and quality control steps.
Security-First by Design: Offline Processing and Flexible Deployment Options
Trexin engineered the AI Intake module to meet the requirements of regulated healthcare environments where PHI protection, operational control, and auditability are non-negotiable.
Security and compliance characteristics include:
- AI model runs in an isolated environment and does not connect to the internet
- Model-agnostic AI approach, selecting the best-fit model based on client constraints, with Trexin providing training, tuning, and deployment experience for IDR-specific data extraction
- HIPAA-aligned design and operational controls appropriate for PHI workflows
- Aligned to SOC 2 expectations, supporting common security and privacy control requirements in regulated environments
Availability
The AI Intake module is available immediately as part of Trexin’s IDR product offering. Trexin provides onboarding, configuration support, and operating model guidance to help teams integrate automation while maintaining the controls required for NSA/IDR compliance.
