4th Annual Chicago CISO of the Year Awards Breakfast

The 4th Annual (2016) Chicago CISO of the Year awards breakfast was on October 11, 2016 at the Metropolitan Club in Willis Tower. Over 50 senior Info Sec professionals gathered to network and honor their own. Over 20 nominees were considered, winnowed by a panel of their peers to 9 finalists, with CEO judges David Nelms (Discover Financial Services) and Stephen Lieber (HIMSS) making the final determination.

Todd Fitzgerald, Global Chief Information Security Officer for Grant Thornton International, was named the 2016 CISO of the Year, and thanked those gathered with a heartfelt view of how InfoSec “takes a village” in these days of increased (and increasing) risk. His remarks followed a Keynote Address by Jason Witty, USBancorp Chief Information Security Officer, who gave a sober view of the cybersecurity future and what we can do about it.
