2024 CyberRisk CISO Dinner

Chicago, IL

On Tuesday, February 27th, Laurel Wirkus attended the 2024 CyberRisk CISO Dinner at LondonHouse in downtown Chicago. To start the evening, she and her fellow cybersecurity professionals networked while overlooking the Chicago river and skyline. Laurel enjoyed lively discussions about generative AI and women in cybersecurity. During dinner, each table covered a list of discussion questions, and insights were shared with the group following dessert. The discussion centered around the importance of collaboration between departments in a business. Leadership, operations, IT, and cybersecurity all need to be aligned on the business’ strategic goals and maintain open communication for business to be successful. Solutions cannot be designed in a vacuum, and each department should understand how other teams work. The evening concluded with further networking.
