2016 Holiday Party

On December 1st, the 2016 Holiday Party was jointly hosted by a Chicago Health Executives Forum (CHEF), First Illinois Health Financial Management Association (FIHFMA), Greater Illinois Chapter Health Information Management Systems Society (GICHIMSS), and National Association of Health Services Executives(NAHSE) at The Bar 10 Doors in Chicago’s University Village. The fundraiser event was to benefit The Boulevard, a non-profit organization which provides housing, education and rehabilitation for the homeless who have recently been discharged from the hospital. The Boulevard has a proven track record of decreasing hospital readmissions and emergency room utilization though a holistic program which undertakes to address the underlying issues of housing, employment and mental health.

Two Trexin Healthcare experts, Laura Zaremba and Ngan MacDonald attended the event. Several speakers discussed the value of The Boulevard’s comprehensive approach to managing the social, behavioral and health of Chicago’s most vulnerable citizens.
