Trexin Consulting, a management and technology consulting firm, announced today Laura Zaremba, has joined Trexin Consulting from the Illinois Governor’s Office of Health Innovation and Transformation. Ms. Zaremba is a principal in the Healthcare Practice.
“Laura Zaremba is uniquely suited to help our clients to meet the requirements of the Affordable Care Act,” said Chris Bloomer, Healthcare Practice Leader. “Her experience with the Governor’s office and initiatives there to improve health and achieve better quality and value will help our clients to succeed in their own health care innovations and transformation efforts.”
Ms. Zaremba previously held a number of positions in state offices. These include Director of the Illinois Office of Health and Information Technology (2010-2014); Deputy Director, Department of Healthcare and Family Services (2006 – 2010); and positions in the Illinois Comptroller’s office. She began her career as a legislative associate at the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
“After more than 15 years in health care policy, technology and delivery, I am pleased to have the opportunity to be part of the Trexin team which is providing strategic and technology leadership to help institutions and healthcare organizations to succeed in this time of unprecedented change in the healthcare sector,” said Ms. Zaremba.
Laura Zaremba serves on the board of the Illinois Rural HealthNet. She was a member of the Illinois Health Information Exchange Authority Board, Governor’s Health Care Reform Implementation Council and local school council at Jones College Prep High School.
Ms. Zaremba received both her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Magna Cum Laude), and her Masters of Arts in Political Science from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Illinois.
She lives with her husband Roger Germann and their two children in Riverside, Illinois.
