Trexin Consulting, a management and technology consulting firm, announced today Walter Linde-Zwirble has been promoted to the role of Chief Data Scientist, Health Economics in its Healthcare Practice. Trexin specializes in the application of advanced technologies that drive business value.

“Walter is a nationally recognized thought leader and has spent over 20 years analyzing and modeling most aspects of healthcare delivery” said Chris Bloomer, Healthcare Practice Leader. “He has worked with all healthcare stakeholders and combines knowledge of health economics, statistical modeling, data science, clinical trial design, regulatory affairs and payment system design to bring a unique perspective to his analysis for our clients to help them move to outcomes based healthcare delivery.”

Prior to joining Trexin, Mr. Linde-Zwirble was a researcher and CEO of ZD Associates a health economics and outcomes analysis and consulting service to leading pharmaceutical and device manufactures. An avid researcher and author, he has published more than 35 peer reviewed publications, over 100 presented research abstracts and is an active member in the American Statistical Society, the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research and Academy Health.

In addition to being a data scientist and researcher, Mr. Linde-Zwirble also held leadership roles overseeing all aspects of data analysis and modeling leading a staff of 15 statisticians and data scientists. Where he designed, executed and analyzed an impressive array of projects including cost-effectiveness analyses conducted alongside phase III clinical trials, post marketing retrospective and prospective studies, disease and treatment specific patient registries, Medicare payment system changes to support improved efficiency and fairness and Medicare fraud analysis of claims. He is also a multiple recipient of the Healthcare Industry Research Award from the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
