SCOTT ANDERSEN
Mr. Andersen is a proven senior executive with over 25 years of global expertise in building successful businesses and providing hands-on leadership assisting his clients improve corporate performance. He combines a unique combination of consulting and industry experience that provides a valuable insight into how to affect lasting change across an enterprise. He has assisted clients across Consumer Products, Distribution, Retail, Pharmaceutical, High Tech, Telecom and Industrial Products Industries. He has lead multiple strategic, business process change, change management and new technology initiatives. Additionally, Mr. Andersen has a multidisciplinary background in IT management, line business management and business strategy that provides a wide and critical experience base from which to craft high-impact business improvement programs.
PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
Prior to becoming a Partner and Managing Director at Trexin, Mr. Andersen co-founded Strategic Alignment Consulting (SAC) a boutique consulting company focused on driving strategic change and bottom line impacts to its clients via business process and IT initiatives. At one of his clients, Mr. Andersen helped transform the Warehouse operations of a $22B Wholesaler, altering the base incentive structure for employees and dramatically reducing operating costs. He also worked with the Chairman of Desktone, helping lead the creation of the initial “virtual desktop” offering and implementing at the initial customer site.
Mr. Andersen was previously a CEO at several serviced based solution companies including, GlobalServe, Inc., a managed service provider that enables its customers to acquire, install, support and dispose of IT assets globally. At GlobalServe he turned the company to profitability while winning the Deloitte New York 50 Fastest Growing Companies for two years in a row. One of his clients, a leading provider of services to the travel industry, Mr. Andersen and his team reduced the cost of IT services by 30% while increasing customer satisfaction from less than 50% to over 90%. At Net2Phone, a provider of Voice over IP (VoIP), he grew revenues by over 90% while reducing cost of sales by 30%. Here Mr. Andersen led the development and implementation of the “click-to-talk” solutions implemented in multiple customers. At Exist Corporation, an e-Market Solution Provider, he lead the creation of the companies Document Management / Workflow Management Solution, drove sales and eventually sold the company to Gluecode Software, an Open Source provider.
Previously Mr. Andersen was Senior Operating Executive of the Commercial Industry Sector Worldwide for MCISystemhouse (MCIS), Inc, a systems integration, outsourcing and enterprise management firm. At MCIS he helped forge relationships with over 45 new Fortune 500 clients, led the largest Pharmaceutical Outsourcing agreement in the company’s history, led the creation of several partnerships with companies such as CommerceOne, Mellon Bank and Chordiant, and was part of the executive leadership team, which grew the company from $800 million to over $2 Billion over a three-year period and eventually sold the business to EDS.
Mr. Andersen initiated his business career at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) where spent over thirteen plus years assisting his clients and became one of the firms leaders in implementing LEAN processes and mission critical, large scale system implementations.
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
Mr. Andersen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University and is Certified (CPIM) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS).
