Ton Roelandse is a highly accomplished IT Leader with a verifiable track record of managing complex, international, IT projects and exceeding expectations, and in addition, has extensive experience as Enterprise Architect in designing, building and implementing Enterprise Wide Architectures with alignment to business objectives for Fortune 500 companies around the world. Ton’s significant experience as a consultant and lead technologist have fine tuned his communication skills and is an expert communicator who ‘translates’ technical terms to business language and vice versa.

Ton has a proven track record as an expert in Help Desk technologies and processes like ITIL and ISO, combined with Network Operations Center and Data Center expertise, and as Project Manager delivered large-scale data center projects on time and within budget, consistently. Ton has been a speaker at Support Conferences and has co-authored two IBM Redbooks, in addition he has won the Remedy Corp. Presidents Cup award in 2000 for best Service Desk Integrator. Ton is passionate about ‘Green Datacenter’ technologies and driving cost savings throughout the IT Infrastructure.



   
 
   
  PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS

Ton Roelandse most recently served as Senior Project Manager at EDS, an HP Company. He was part of a core team of seasoned professionals that were responsible for Merger and Acquisition (M&A) projects within Bank of America. These projects were highly visible, critical projects related to legal “Day One” deadlines. In this capacity Ton led up to 10 concurrent projects related to the merger of Countrywide, Merrill Lynch, LaSalle and the Prime Brokerage divesture. These projects entailed complete relocation of datacenters (4), blades(6000+), circuits (150), cabinets, IP mesh, switches(800), applications, office space(1200), phone equipment and more. Prior to joining this team, Ton was leading the Business Analyst and Developer Workstreams for a global Software Oriented Architecture (SOA) program within EDS. With an annual budget of over $30M, this was the largest funded internal initiative that year.

Ton also drove the Enterprise Knowledge Management Strategic Initiative – which resulted in a 30% reduction in licensing cost to the internal EDS organization. He evangelized and implemented Knowledge Management standards, Taxonomy and platform Architecture (.NET, VB.NET, MS SQL, C#), including CMMI models. Ton championed collaboration initiatives, content creation, and content re-use efforts for the Telecommunications and Energy Industry Account teams. This resulted in an increase in KM usage of 55%, and proposal response time reduction of 45%.

As Interim CTO for EDS’ Best Shore program, Ton was responsible for the development and build-out of Indian Call Centers in Chennai and later Pune and achieved a 50% reduction in operating cost. Ton led the EMEA, APAC, LATAM and US architecture teams in setting technology standards, guiding technology implementations, and migrating customers into the new call centers. In addition Ton held advisory roles in Global Network Operations strategic programs, and was a key player in forging relationships with international data carriers. Ton was involved in the EDS MPLS deployment in EMEA and VoIP QoS implementation between the US and India.

As Enterprise Architect Ton held a global role and worked on process re-engineering, help desk-, and network operations client engagements at companies like Nokia-Finland, BB&T, Starbucks, Bank of Montreal-Canada, Dutch Post-Netherlands, Dresdner-UK, Barclays-UK, BHP-Australia, Proceda Systemhouse-Brazil, Banco Credito Peru-Peru, Telstra-Australia, Canadian Defense-Canada, among many others.
