Bhoopendra Singh is a management consultant, technologist and executive with over 19 years of extensive experience spanning insurance, healthcare, higher education, financial services and software industry including roles in software development, IT strategy, enterprise architecture roadmaps, technology portfolio rationalization, business process and IT outsourcing, and captive operations setup. PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
At Trexin, Bhoopendra managed Aon’s Global IT Strategy Program chartered to establish Technology Strategy with a 3-5 year planning horizon. This engagement included establishing alignment with business imperatives and defining Aon Technology Future State which addresses the business imperatives while delivering on the established IT goals. Global IT Strategy Program defined key IT Strategies to drive and built a Road Map of prioritized initiatives to shape Aon’s future IT investment in People, Process, Technology and Partners.
Prior to joining Trexin, Bhoopendra was consultant/Director for a Higher Education client responsible for application development and enterprise architecture. He was brought in by the CIO to develop an IT strategy with a prioritized roadmap of initiatives, build the IT application organization, and develop SDLC processes with associated tools. In order to support explosive business growth he devised cloud based software strategy and successfully led technical delivery of Salesforce.com and Eloqua CRM implementations including migration and consolidation of several legacy applications and front-end processes to Force.com platform. Bhoopendra resolved severe business-critical Online Learning Platform scalability issues and led the build-out of new highly available infrastructure (99.95% uptime, 3M Hits/hr, 9K concurrent users).
Earlier, Bhoopendra consulted at CNA where he was instrumental in turning around a very large Insurance Policy Management ERP project (over 125 onshore/offshore resources - $80MM project). He quickly identified several significant architectural issues and led innovative solution re-design enabling successful deployment. Bhoopendra used techniques such as agile/SCRUM and test driven development, continuous build/deployment processes and continuous code inspection.
Prior to CNA, Bhoopendra was Director of Enterprise Architecture at Aon where he was responsible for Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy, Shared Services and IT leadership for Global Outsourcing Program. Bhoopendra implemented IT for Global Business Process Outsourcing program with impact to 700+ headcount and drove overall technology implementation including a mini datacenter setup of Aon’s India based captive unit in Bangalore. Bhoopendra provided technology leadership in rationalization and standardization of Aon’s enterprise architecture as part of a $ 600 MM outsourcing deal with projected savings of $50 MM/yr. Bhoopendra initiated and managed many technology governance initiatives including Architecture Working Group and Aon’s Global Application Portfolio Management Program. Prior to this he drove Global Identity Management Strategy with projected cost savings of $1.5 MM and led implementation of key strategic components (Directory, User Provisioning, and Self-Service Password Management) in savings > $200K/yr. At Aon, Bhoopendra also setup and operationalized many other Shared Services like Global Content Management, Global e-Platform and Global Application Portfolio Management.
Bhoopendra has extensive application development experience as prior to joining Aon; he worked at Bear Stearns as Lead Architect where he developed Bear’s state of the art, mission critical, real-time stock trading platform. Prior to Bear, Bhoopendra worked at SSA Global where is developed runtime engine for SSA’s flagship product ERP BPCS with several thousand installations globally.
